Groucho's Deli Refund Policy: Online Ordering & Mobile App

This policy applies to orders placed through the Groucho's Deli app and our online ordering platform for pickup and delivery at participating locations in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Each Groucho's Deli location is independently owned and operated. Refunds are issued by the location that received your order. If a location cannot resolve your request, Groucho's Franchise Systems may step in to help.

All Sales Final, With Exceptions

Food is prepared fresh to order. Once an order is submitted and preparation has begun, it cannot be returned and is generally non-refundable. We will issue a refund or remake your order in the following cases:

  • We can't fulfill your order. The location is out of stock, has temporarily closed, or otherwise cannot complete your order.

  • Wrong, missing, or incorrect items. You received the wrong order, or items were missing.

  • You were charged in error. A duplicate charge or an incorrect amount was processed.

For quality concerns not listed above, contact the location directly. Each location may offer a remake or other resolution at its discretion.

Canceling an Order

Once an order is submitted, it cannot be canceled, with two exceptions:

  • Future-day orders. If you placed an order for a later date, you may cancel it before preparation begins by contacting the pickup location.

  • Catering orders. Catering orders may be canceled with at least 18 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 18 hours' notice may not be nonrefundable.

To cancel an eligible order, contact the pickup location as soon as possible.

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact your pickup location first. Find the store phone number in the app or at grouchos.com. Have your order number ready.

  2. If the location can't resolve it, reach our corporate team at [email protected].

Requests should be made within 3 days of your order date.

Authorization Holds

When you place an order, your bank may show a temporary authorization hold. This is not a charge. Holds are typically released within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.

Refund Timing

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. The time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

Third-Party Delivery

Orders placed through DoorDash or other third-party delivery platforms are subject to those platforms' refund policies. For refunds on third-party orders, contact the platform directly. Groucho's Deli cannot process refunds for orders placed through third-party services.

Gift Cards & Promotions

Gift card purchases and promotional credits are non-refundable. Discounts and coupons applied to a refunded order are not redeemable again unless the location chooses to reissue them.
